A thing to be aware of with tow hooks on an OBS. The frame ends are not overly strong and there is no cross support at the ends. A hard jerk on a tow hook can tweek the frame enough to put the front end out of alignment. At least it can happen on a 250. Most guys will run a front hitch to help strengthen it if they're running hooks but because of your shackle flip that won't be an option.

I do recall Colibert Hitches made a pair of hooks for the OBS which retailed for around $45... not sure if they still have them but something to look into.

Here's a DIY writeup on the subject if you're feeling handy:
    TheDieselStop.Com - www.thedieselstop.com

You can also take the factory hooks off the 88-00 GM trucks and bolt them in with a little cutting to your bumper but I wouldn't recommend them, they're not the sturdiest.

Your best bet is to go with a steel bumper with hooks built in or even a tube bumper.

I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I find anything.

Did you do SD springs with your RSK?

    No.
    Its the factory stock springs.....
& at this point I'm just going with a custom tube bumper with a center hitch point.

There is alot of energy being withheld during a recovery and you don't want any of those items failing and allowing that energy to release itself in a manner that may injure or kill someone.

Although they are not hooks as indicated in the subject line of this thread, there is a pic of a recovery point in the first post that is not a hook, so I'll attach pics of the recovery points I use.

The bill is there so you can visualize the size.

I use the clevis pins also. On my trailer i use the steel Carabiners rated at 14K and then a soft webbing thre wrapped to at least 14k.. for tying down my 5K jeep. decent safety factor.

I changed my mind again because I'm broke & figure its cheapest to just get a front hitch mounted.....?

Tow Hooks 13,500 lbs. Safe Working Load - GEMPLER'S

How about a big hook like that and bolt it to the hanger?Depending on how you mount it, it shouldnt hurt anything at all.It should almost be big enough to hang below the bumper...
