    Hitch rise or drop

I Have a stock excursion with 20s on it 4X2. When I tow my boat I use a 2.5"rise for it to be level (21'Howard). We are going to Powell with my sister and her family. They will be towing a 23' Attitude toy box behind a '95 Chevy 1ton with 130k miles on it. We want to have a back up incase they have problems. Any suggestions on the rise or drop that will work well for my excursion and their trailer?? Thanks

Only way to get it is to measure the hitch height with it on the chevy and them figure out the rise you need for your Excursion. Have fun in Powell. I was there 2 weeks ago and its a beautiful lake.

    Hey Jeff
I am sure they are using a weight distribution hitch with sway control. The ones that I have seen are adjustable so I would just take the Excursion over to your sisters and see if there’s enough adjustability to work with both the Chevy and the Ford.

I took a look at it on the 4th when we we're at their house. At best. we can raise it about 2". It's a lifted truck and would still have about a 4" drop which would put the trailer almost on the ground when hooked to our excursion. Thanks for the idea.

I'll have my brother-in-law measure. Thanks.

You should be able to flip it the other direction and gain more rise. You might not be able to open the doors on the Excursion though. Your welcome to borrow my hitch system if it will work but it's for a lifted truck as well.

Yes, all you do is flip the shaft.

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
    1. Jesus Christ...
    2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
