    Best injectors for PMR's

I am looking to get 400 rwhp (no more) out of my PMR's. I would like to know what injector would work the best with some good tuning. I am at 340 now but would like some more power.

I have looked at AC's, but they are only good for 350 ish
    Swamps 175/146 maybe 400??
Stage II's will get me there
    Swamps hybrid 200/30%

If the AC's could get me 400 I would rather go that route because of the stock nozzles.

You want to stay way under the target if you fear blowing up.

I really like my Swamps 200cc hybrids.

With the right tuning, your PMR's would have nothing to worry about.

Swamps tuning? I hear it is not necessarily the HP that breaks the rods, more so the timing/tuning?
How is the smoke for daily driving/towing?

    What tuning would you suggest?

That could be easily taken care of with tuning.

    Hope this helps.
I had stage IIs from Industiral. They were awesome for 480- 490ish with some nice DP tunes. I know AC injectors feel good too but would only be in the 340 range I think.
On the stage IIs big oil is not necessary but helps with fuel atomization and makes the experience and throttle response a little better. Also something like an Airdog and regulated fuel system would round out the package nicely.
Tunes are the glue and Jody at DP Tuner has worked with allot of these setups and can put it together for you. If you can ever get to a live tuning session that would be the way to go.

I personally wouldn't waste my time with a Stage II (essentially an AC with a large nozzle). They require big oil to run at their best, will have higher egt's, and marginal fuel economy. The larger nozzles will also cause a quicker cp spike, regardless of whose tuning you run.

On the other hand, small hybrids will run at their optimum with a stock hpop (even a 15 degree pump), will have stockish egt's, and will have better fuel economy. Also, the small nozzles mean much better street manners.

At least to me, the math is simple. Stage II's and Big Oil will get you to the same place as a set of Small Hybrids on the stock hpop you already have.

Oops! I somehow missed this post earlier.

Swamps, DP, PHP, etc. are all reputable tuners.

In regards to smoke, it's pretty much non-existent in the milder tunes. The smaller nozzles allow for keeping the smoke to an absolute min. However, in the extreme tune, it will still role some coal should you want to make a pass at the dragstrip, etc.

Yes a typo I meant 380-390. My head is in the 600-800 and 1500-2000 range now and the numbers got twisted in my mind.

1500-2000 only in theory that would be too scary.

I am with you Anthony but have no experience with hybrids.

Thanks for all of the opinions guys. I decided to go with Swamps Hybrid 200/30%, 38R turbo, and Swamps tunes. According to swamps, there are a couple dozen pmr trucks that have been running this setup for 2 years and no problems to speak of. It all comes down to safe tuning. Whether or not I have the same luck, time will tell.

I have DP tuner at the moment (live tuned) with my stock injectors. I decided to try Swamps tunes because they have tuned most of the PMR trucks with hybrids and they also have a great track record. I will probably go back to DP tuner when Jody makes it out to John's Shop(hopefully later in the year?).

I should get everything in a week or 2. Then it's time to go to work.:D

Not to get off topic, but I gotta question- I got my Swamps 175/146 live tuned by Jody at John's shop about a year ago, and put 320hp/704tq down on Johns rollers. When I get back from this friggin sandbox (Iraq) I have a 17* HPOP to replace my tired stock 15* pump with. ANy idea how much an increase I might get with a new HPOP? And if the wife ever lets me get a 38r (and new up pipes etc for the e99 conversion) I'll definitely try to swing the Swamps 200/30 hybrids. I'd like to hit 400 too.
