    Arrow HYDROGEN anyone?

Hi Guys any news on the HH2 or Hydrogen front? Has this thing (interest) just fizzled or is new stuff in the works? I haven't seen any news lately on this interest in the media or online. Are any of the SoCaps people interested in this or working on anything on the Hydrogen supplemental fuel front?
    Thanks,
    Hans .......:)

There are a couple going around right now. A friend of mine put one on a mid 70 ford with a 351. Mileage went from 7 to 17 and it was rising until the truck got recked.
There is another on a 6.9L. Works great. Over 20mpg. Building a larger one now. Holds a little more then a gallon of water. Just don't know yet how to apply it to my truck. I'm kind of worried
How to inject it. Still working on it.

I have plans on building one, but I have not had the time and it has been too cold in the garage. Maybe spring time I will finish it.

    Lightbulb H2 kit

I heard that H2 (or HHO as they are calling it) does wonders for the right set up, and it takes some work to get it tuned properly for your specific engine. I have also heard that it does very little for the 6.0 because of the injection timing that our engine uses. :( :( :( Hopefully someone will figure out a way for us to reap some of the benifits of HHO.

The problem i have been seeing is when you start the truck and turn the H2o kit on it starts by not putting high quility hydrogen in. So say you have your idle set at 700 rpm and .150 jet in the carb. after about 10 min of running now you idle is around 1250 1300 rpms. Now its running rich with the high quailty H2o going in. Now with a .130 or .135 jet it runs great. Trying to find a happy midium.

But remember that you have to know what you are doing. There are quite a few electrolites that react differently. many of them will corrode aluminum parts, like turbo and the intercooler. Some will rust out the SS plates faster.

Personally I think it is a total waste if you use HHO on a diesel with split shot injectors. That first pilot injection uses it all up and then you get nothing for the main injection. That is the reason I am not really hitting this faster and getting my system built.

I have joined this forum and learned quite a bit about these systems and I think you guys should as well. I mostly just read up and dont post a lot, but I go by stroker there.

Been reading alot more about these systems. Going to install one on Monday on a 6.oL from www.alternativegassoultions. Talked with the owner a while and i am going to fly to Prescott AZ. and take a look at the company. Thinking about becoming a dealer if it all works out. Just an update.

I have the kit and have been fabricating a bracket to mount the tank. It is going to be a little tight so I been trying to lay it out so it is a clean install. Very well built kit, very pleased.
Going to start the install tomorrow. I need to get it done because I have to install one on a 300M next. Once those are done and we do some testing I should have three more to install.

    Update...

Just an update. I have the cell working in the 6.0L. I had to fab a couple of brakets for the resorvoir and the scrubber tank. So far with about 500 miles on the truck:

Before, a trip to Vegas 65mph no load= 13.2 hand caculated.
After, Big Bear to Santa Monica, city driving back to Big Bear= 21.5mph

Now we will be driving to Vegas to get a more accurate numbers. They say the hydro cell will put out its max around 1500miles. After 1500 miles we will do a full fuild change to wash out the particals that came off the plates becauce of them being new.

It runs at 18amps and the cells temp is around 130*. I have a half and half mixture of alcohol and distilled water with potasium hydroxcide. For freezing issues. Summer we will try taking out the alcohol and get some higher temps in the cell to produce more hydrogen.

Can i come by sometime and check out this setup? Wonder if it will work well with the 7.3L

WOW, those are great mileage numbers. How much do you figure you have invested in this so far, in terms of money and time? I'd also like to see this if you're going to be at the Sunrise meet.

Around 500 for the kit. I have a few hours making the brackets and finding a place for everything. Some extra wire along with some hose clamps. About four hours to install the kit. The truck is not mine. I installed for a friend, I am a wrench turner by trade, he is a camera man.

I finished one on a 300c tonight. Whata pain in the butt. No place to put it. I finally pulled the grill and put it front of the radator

Sounds great. Looking forward to hearing more results from our specific application.

Increasing cell temp will not increase the O & H2 separation rate. It will increase the evaporation rate, which isn't the same. More efficiency and/or more power will make more gas, but that may or may not be do-able with that set-up.

    Still watching and listening intently!
