1. tell me which alternator is the PSD on your site?
2. how many amps does the stock put out?
- @ idel?
- @ 1000rpm?
- @ 2000rpm is that how it works?
3. how many amps does the H/O put out?

4. I have a 3000watt 12/120v Invertor can the stock run this so I get 3000w @ 120v?
5. & how many 12v amps does it take to get me to 3000w @ 120v?
5. Why should I go big with the H/O version?

There are many factors involved in some of your questions but I'll give ya the basic answers. Come on by on sunday and I'll explain. we will have a truck there to show the Socap members output curves, load demands and such.

2. how many amps does the stock put out? depends on the year 95-98 3g 130 amps, 99-07 6g 110 amps MAX

- @ idel? Avg 60-70
- @ 1000rpm? avg 70-80
- @ 2000rpm is that how it works? avg 90-100
3. how many amps does the H/O put out? our largest is 275 wide stack max
- @ idel? 130-140
- @ 1000rpm? 160-170
- @ 2000rpm is that how it works? 190-up
4. I have a 3000watt 12/120v Invertor can the stock run this so I get 3000w @ 120v? Your batts will supply but your alt cant keep up with demand for replenishment. so in short, no, not for long
5. & how many 12v amps does it take to get me to 3000w @ 120v? watts divided by volts..... 3000/14= 214 thats if you pull the full 3K
5. Why should I go big with the H/O version? Our H/O units are designed for high output not only at high RPM but also at low. If you want to take full advantage of your 3K inverter you will need a H/O alternator to back it up.

I got Solar on the Trailer But If & When the Trailer goes flat just plug it into the Truck 110v!
You can run anything [Skillsaws] of these converters...done right! :cheers444:

I was pretty sure my 05' came with a 140 amp alternator.

If your truck came with the factory dual alternator package, then it would have come with a 135 Amp 6G alternator in the primary location, and a 130 amp 4G in the secondary. Also, the 135 Amp 6G was the largest alternator that Motorcraft/Visteon produced in house. I have yet to ever see truck that was equipped with a single 135 Amp alternator, the only time I have ever seen them was on vehicles equipped with dual alternators. Not so say that Ford didn't offer it, but I personally have yet to see one without the dual package..
