    Campaign to reprogram my truck

Has anyone else received a letter from Ford about reprogramming your 6.4? Has anyone had it done yet? Do you notice any change in the way your truck drives or acts? Taking mine in this week and want to know what to expect. I know fuel milage wont increase but want to know what I am in for after they "fix" my truck. My letter says they will be performing a program update and "T" fitting add for radiator.

The dealer just called and said my radiator is weeping a bit  I have been watching my coolant level and looking for leaks on a regular basis. Guess it really is slow in dealerships now. I bet every early 6.4 that comes in to dealerships will be weeping after the Oasis is run . Now I dont get my truck back till Wed. afternoon.

We did 12 radiators last week on 6.4's. They all leak.

We have done quite a few also, but to the best of my knowledge, we have not seen ANY back that we have done the venturi tee installation on.

I had mine done last week. There is now a message that comes on in the dash message center letting you know when the exhaust filter is being cleaned. I have not seen any driveability differences, but have seen about 1/2 MPG increase with no change in driving habits. I am just about through my 1st tank after the flash and will hand calculate the MPG and see if it indeed made any difference.

I hope this wont turn out to be like the FICM reflash for the 6.0's a few years back...

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
    1. Jesus Christ
    2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

I believe he is referring to the new flashes that were coming out on a monthly basis when the 6.0L PSD was released.

Thanks, I was wondering because right after I bought my 05' it got recalled for a computer reflash (nothing wrong with the truck) and I thought there was some problems I didn't know about. My conspiracy theory side just knows they messed it up some how.

Hey Bobby, I read some where that the service dept. will be open at the meeting. I couldn't find the thread (hence the hijack). Who do we talk to down there about getting some minor service done?

My truck is in for the re flash and venturi-t right now. (Sorry Bobby, I couldn't justify an 80 mile drive to take it to Sunrise for this service). I also had them look at a couple small issues. My A/C pump froze after turning it off during a climb up to Big Bear and trying to use it when I got to the top, The belt has squealed occasionally ever since. I have water in one of my tail lights and I perceive high turbo lag (worse than my 6.0). And, I get a grinding noise when I am in 4WDL and put it in Park.

The Dealer (Ken Grody) said it will take about 4 days to do this job because they are "backed up".

I would figure 5 or 6 days. You will get a call that you need radiator replaced too;).

Got my truck back Monday (4 working days). I don't feel any difference in the power delivery. I won't be on a long trip for a while, so I don't know if the mileage has been affected. NTF on my squealing belt. They did not replace the radiator.
