    loss of power

Yesterday I slapped on a mag-hytech tranny pan and rear diff pan. I added and did everything they told me to do. I noticed a loss of get up and go from a stop light and alittle loss of acceleration. Im hoping this is normal since there is extra fluid which in case causes more friction and slows it alittle. anyone experiance this or have any advice why this is happing?

You added increased fluid capacity, which means extra weight, which equals a slower vehicle. Hell, I don't know. Perhaps someone will chime in here. I'm sure your issues are unrelated though.

Did You Use The Correct Fluid In The Trans. Mercon Sp. Did You Put In The Friction Modifier In The Rear End.

I figured it could be just the extra fluid in the rear diff which causes more friction? yeah I added motorcraft SP oil to the tranny and 2 rear diff additives, did it by the book and even changed the tranny filter. Its just not as snapy from a stop.

I also notice with my Mag-Hytech F5R110 tranny pan, it has the same around town and freeway tranny temps with no load, havent pulled with it yet but I would think with that extra tranny fluid it would keep it cooler than stock, am I wrong?

It Would Be The Same. The Fluid Runs Through The Radiator Cooler Which Makes It A Certain Temp. The Bigger Pan Holds More Fluid So It can Cool It More When Needed.

The way I see it it takes longer to heat up so you have more of a chance to prevent serious damage if things start to go bad. At the same time it will take longer to cool down. I'll take any added advantage I can, even if it does come at a small sacrafice. If things go bad I can sit and wait for it to cool.

Been thinking about your post because I plan on putting on a lager cover on the rear end to. I think with the extra gear oil it takes longer to warm up and the cold oil is giving the extra drag.
