Fontana November 1-2

There will be a street legal T&T at Fontana November 1-2. I understand the one day events there get pretty crowded but with 2 days may be aboe to get more runs in. I am unsure of my schedule at this time but want to see who can go and get some discussion started. Steve, Voodoo Trucker told me about this one and I think would like to go.

So what do you all think?

I went to one last year and it was a blast. They call it "street legal", but I observed a chevelle lift the whole front end off the ground about 8 inches. I don't think that was street legal. The following week I went to pomona <-------- Unbelievable!!!!!!

Went there once , you better plan on getting there before 6 am. They only let the first 400 in and there was over 700 in line. and by 3:30 pm we got 1 run in , left and won't be going back I don't think. Not much fun other than a lot of time to talk with everybody. If you go hope you have better luck than Mike and I did.

went one time an it was very $$$ an like Gene said only one or two runs.. but lets ask the NHRDA to hold a event there ?? or Vegas...

If you look at the there web site http://www.autoclubspeedway.com/dragway/ up in the right hand corner it says "08 Auto Club Dragway Schedule," click on it and you will see they have two days of street legal racing scheduled for the first and second of Nov. I think they started doing this because of the ridiculous crowds.
Looking at the last time they had a street legal race day (August 16), it might be less crowded on Sunday then Saterday. If they have not had a street legal day in a couple of months, the day they do, is way over crowded. A two day event may not be too bad.

We've been to quite a few, and the about of runs you get usually depends on how smooth things go, but 4 is the max usually. It's 20 bucks for 4 runs, but one time we only got 2 because a few people wrecked. I might run my truck, but I might wait until the next private day that alternative motoring puts on. Went with my friends grand nat a few months ago and we got somewhere along the lines of 22 passes in for around 100 bucks. They only allow 100 cars, as opposed to 400, and on those days its not just "Street Legals" Its run what ya brung! There was a few cars in the 7's that day. I know I can't go on sunday, and I don't know about getting up at 4 am the day after halloween.
