starts runs like crap after Synthetic

I switched to synthetic at my last oil change, ever since it starts and runs like crap till it is good and warmed up. No change with or with out SCT. (2006 6.0) At start up it sounds like it is missing. what should I look for first.

Since you have clean oil we can rule that out, just make sure it's level. I'd try running some injector cleaner in it first. I always like to take the cheapest way first. I have a bad injector in my 01 7.3 and it does it like this in the morning too. I let it warm up it goes away. I tried running Lucas and it got a bit better and when I was running veg oil it was good. Now that I've been running reg diesel it's starting to do it again. I know I need at least 2 injectors though but I want to upgrade all of them so I'm trying to wait until I can afford to swap them all. This may or may not be your problem so give it a try since it's cheap. good luck.

Also make sure it is not over full. If it is foaming can occur and cause poor running.

Forgot about the foaming, and it's easy to overfill as the dip sticks are a little hard to read. Go double, triple check the oil and be sure your at the proper level.
