    waterpump

Looks like a water pump is in the near future. I just had it done about 2 yrs ago ( I agreed to work a ton of shifts then sprung a leak. It looks like it's leaking from the center of the waterpump) I paid the old mechanic
$100.00 to put it in. I have done them before on gassers, But not on my diesel. Any tips or tricks? advice on parts I.E. brand, "lifetime".

I don't think they are lifetime either. I was also looking at the dieselsite coolant filter system.

Recommended or sold you ? If Raul Is selling? I'm interested. I pulled out the fsm and was wondering if I should just buy the special thin wrenches or will harbor freight throwaway's work ( it looks like thay will be too thick.

No, he recommended the one at diesel site so I guess he doesn't sell that one.

DON'T get the wrenches from NAPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I just got screwed by napa they sold me a "speciality tool" the pully holder was the 83 mm (way too big) and the 1 7/8 worked fine. I went to take it back and get my money back they then advised me of their no return policy on "speciality tools", but they were gonna give me $35.00 credit on a $100.00 tool. That means it cost me $65.00 to rent the tool for 4 hours. Now Kragen has a really nice kit built by Powerbuilt for the same price and they will take it back. To be honest i had a hard taking the powerbuilt kit back; it was sweet. They also had the most inexpensive lifetime waterpump. When I returned the guy behind the counter said " so, how did it work? " I said the tools are sweet. No issues on the return of the tool kit or 4 year old (no reciept) waterpump. I was kinda in a hurry so now i bought the correct one on ebay. Just in case I need it later. she is running coolant leak free now.
