Test and Tune Barona or the Q 9/19

Howdy all. Both Barona and Qualcomm have open racing this Friday night. I am planning to go to one of them. Prefer Barona since it is close to home. I am talking with Barona about the water box and burnouts. They sound like they want to accommodate us but have only exchanged messages so for. I will let you all know what they say.

I will be suspension tuning and also get to see how much time I can pick up with the transmission changes JW has done for me since last time.

Who all can come out and play?

UPDATE: My new converter has a stall issue. John is working on it and if we get it resolved I will be racing this Friday. If not, I won't be going. I will keep you posted.

That is the track... over there. Actually I was coming back from geting a pizza. I had been over there trying to spool up but cannot. :(

Stall speed seems to be around 1000-1100 rpms. John is on it. It was good to see your smiling faces and lights flashing Doug.

This is cool. My neighbor that lives in that red house on the corner of Old Julian Hwy has a huge picture window in his dining room that looks right down our test track. He came over the other day to say hello and told me how much he enjoys watching us blast down that section of road. So we are also providing good entertainment for the locals. :yay:

Yep he is an old timer, one of the first families to settle in this area. They used to own all of this land and ran cattle here. Except in the vineyard which is where we live.

Must be time for a mod party.

It is looking like my new converter has not come in yet so unless something radical happens and it comes in I will not be practicing this Friday.
Next race will be DITD. I'll be testing on our little track out here when we get everything working again.
If anyone is going to Qualcomm or Barona post up and we might be able to come and watch.

Looks like alot of guys on the .org want me to race at DITD....Mind if I head out one of these days and we can make sure everything is kosher on my hunk? I want to make sure that's just an over boost code...

For the record John called and has my TC so I headed out to Holtville this morning after all. Got about 30 miles up the road and my front left caliper fell off. I had a local mechanic change out my front rotors yesterday as the old ones were really stuck on and I could not get them off. He must have forgotten to torque the bolts down on this side cause the bolts are gone. It felt like a flat tire as I pulled over.

So I am in the same boat for this weekend. Going to John's Monday to get my trans worked out. He has been hustling to help me out, could ask for no better.

So I will see you all at DITD.
