I've been having problems with my '02 F250 7.3l. It started about a year ago when I had an injector go bad. I took my truck to my mechanic that has done good work on my F150, but I don't think he knows much about the PSD. He fixed the injector, but it only lasted a few months until I lost another 3 injectors and the sending unit. He fixed these, but now I'm having starting problems. The truck will start and then run very rough, like it is misfiring. At this point the truck has no power and sometimes makes a loud knocking sound. After about ten minutes the engine warms up and runs better, but still feels a little down on power.
I'm done taking this truck to my old mechanic. I need a new one.
I see everyone on this site praise Sunrise, but they are a bit far for me. I'll take it there if I have to, but would like to find a closer mechanic.
I live in Lake Forest and would like to take the truck to a mechanic that knows this motor inside and out. I bought this truck for its motor since it only has 75k miles on it. I don't want a new truck, just get this one fixed for good.
