Lovecraft's system uses a one tank design, this means starting on cold WVO. It will work but over time (a short time) your pistons will become coked, this will ruin your engine. The only way you can run WVO in a PSD is with a two tank system, the oil has to be hot for it to burn.

i have a '83 Mercedes Wagon that was converted by them. It starts OK in the morning with cold veggie but I have to give it a little gas and keep the RPM's up at 1000 for about a minute until it will idle on its own. Once its warm it drives perfectly. i think your Power Stroke is just a whole differn't animal.

Damn $3200 for a kit seems steep. Isn't there an affordable option?

I like the veggiestroke system. You should heat the oil so it is at the correct viscocity.
Do you have a line on some oil Nathan? Or are you going to be seling some kits in the future?

We (my wife and I ) Just went to to visit her uncle. He went to a local restraunt and picked up about 16 gallons of used vegi oil. He brought it home, filtered it, added about 1 gallon of reg gas, diesel, kerosene, and don't kill the messenger but diesel secret. This made about 20 gallons of fuel. He then pumped into his ex and we went for a ride. No heater in the fuel tank, engine mods, no hoping that the wife didnt forget to switch to diesel before switching the motor off, toxic chemicals, chemistry degree, or glycerine to get rid of.

Why add gasoline? Is it too thick to pump? Why not just add a little diesel?

I'm going to run blended today with just diesel. I'll let you know how it does in a powerstroke.

Then it would run like a diesel. As mine did today. I was afraid I might have starting issues but no problems so far today. I had almost empty tank a little under a 1/4 added 2 almost 3 gallons of oil and then drove to the gas station and added $10 of diesel. Drove around running arands today, didn't notice anyting really. Just drove like a diesel...
