    Thumbs up Emergency Brake Release

Here is a neat tip if you have a stiff/sore back, are overweight (who, me?) or are just plain lazy:

Instead of reaching down and forward for the emergency brake release lever, just use the toe of your left foot to pull the lever toward you. The brake release is spring loaded and will pop the emergency brake pedal up and you're good to go!!

Surprisingly little pressure is needed to move the lever and your toe hitting it releases just fine!

Now, if you've got spit shined shoes it might mar the polish, but using boots, athletic shoes, normal shine shoes, or bare foot there is no problem!!

Try it...I'm heavy set (just a little :)) and have a stiff back (and lazy) and it works great!!

Sad thing is that is what I have been doing for about 2 years now and I am only 26. I figured it was ingenuity, not laziness. :)
