    So. Orange Co. mechanic?

    Hi -
Can anyone recommend a good diesel mechanic in the So. Orange Co. area? I'm a novice diesel owner (F-250 7.3L) and would like to have one lined up before problems arise. Actually my truck is a '96, but this forum has more traffic than the one I'm supposed to use. Hope you don't mind an interloper.

    thanks.

I take mine to Ken Goudy Ford. Just off the 5 fwy on Beach Blvd. They have some very good diesel mechanics there. I live in Valencia so I drive past alot of dealers before I get there. Ken

DO NOT GO TO VILLA FORD. After they put me through the wringer I went to Grody. They treated me great and I felt like they knew what they were doing. DO NOT GO TO VILLA FORD. If anyone needs more info on Villa I will write the book it will take to explain their incompetency.

I recently had good experience with Dieseltune in Downey, 562 929 6554. Ask for the owner Mike Calandra, tell him you were referred by Jock Marlo. Downey is not exactly South Orange County, but I go there from Newport Beach.

Nothing, actually it's running like a top right now. But my '96 has 207,000 miles on it and sooner or later I'll be needing a mechanic. This is my first oil burner, had it for 3 months now, and I'm like a fish out of water. Diesel's are great, I don't think I'd ever own another gas truck. I see from the DieselStop forums that I should have a spare CPS in my glovebox at the very least.

Thanks for the info guys, I had a massive leak last night and need a mechanic. I'll be taking mine to Grody in the AM.

    Thanks,
    Christiaan
