Do you have a side job or business?

I have been wanting to do something aside from my 40 hour a week job. I am going nuts sitting at home. I have always wanted a side business, but haven't really been able to come up with anything good. What do you guys do on the side for a little extra money? I'd really like to start saving up something to put down on a house and not sure it's going to happen very fast without something else for a little extra income.

I build and fab off road trucks.......costs me, big time, but worth it for what you learn. Someday I will be fast enough to do it for some side profit.

My time is split between designing communications systems and horsemanship and riding training.
However, Nathan I have a welder and the barn/shop. If you think of something we can build in the shop I would work with ya. One thing very simple is I have a ton of horseshoes to make hat racks, coat hangers and what ever else you can think of. Could sell them here or across the street at the veggie stand.
Could fab something truck related if you can think of anything.

I'm jealous. I always wanted to open an off road shop doing that.

I have been doing car audio for almost 20 years. I also have built and sold DJ equipment, and detailed cars.

I don't do the car audio much anymore since I rarely have time. I own a small part of a winery, and have always wanted to open a brewery. Need to brew more tho.

If anyone wants to partner and really make some money... our property is an old vineyard. We can put a boutique winery here very easily and even qualify as a vineyard. My wife and I have been considering the winery here as we are right on the scenic hwy, and putting some cabins on our property to rent out as a get away. I think it would work great but we do not have the money to develop it right now. Need some partners with money. We have the place. As well it lends to a riding and horsemanship retreat which is what I teach, riding and horsemanship that is.

    Anyone interested?

Lot of money to be made in the wine business right now. All my investment money is already wrapped up in a winery that has been a disaster from very poor management and incompetence. We(the investors) now have control so things should get better.

I agree in the wine busines and making money. It is a fad. Ramona winerys are a growing concern. A boutique winery can showcase all of the local wines and anything else. We can then purchase the 8 acres next door, move our horses over there and expand the vineyard around the boutique winery. Then start making our own wine. A lady earlier this year wanted to purchase our land for this exact thing. We priced it too high for her but am re-thinking the entire deal. Either stay here and work toward this as a business or sell and buy this other ranch we like up in Washington. I have to say the winery business could help us retire totally out here.
