    Fuel gauge not working

I took my truck in to Tuttle Click because my fuel gauge stayed on empty and "Low Fuel Level" would pop up. I drove it like that for about 75 miles and then the truck started to surge, like it was running out of fuel, then get some. Has anybody had this problem? Tuttle Click says it sounds like it might be the sender.

No but my gauge did get stuck on "empty" for 15-30 seconds at 5-7k miles. No problems since that time.

My dad has had this problem at his mechanic shop.
He told me to disconnect the batteries for a little bit.
It has worked for him so far on 3 trucks.
They chased one for a couple of days.
    Worth a try.
