    4x4 prob.

I have a problem with my 4x4 locking in. I can manually lock them in but then I get a clicking sound from the front driver side hub (I think). Is it worth replacing or should I scrap it and get something better? Is there an after market set up that works with the vacuum? What’s my best option? Sorry for all the questions, I have an 06 F-350 CC SB with 8” of DR lift, 37” tires and ARB front and rear.

    Hub click

Sounds like the hub is not fully engaging, Check for vacuum leaks or restriction in the line, Shouldn't be a warranty issue if it's bad. You can always manually lock your hubs and not worry about this problem when off road.

I had the same problem about 3 months ago on my '03 with the 6.0. I have over 100k on the truck and have had few probs. This, how ever, left me with out a truck for a total of 6 weeks be for Dealer could find a problem. after the first two weeks The Tech. said he completely dismantled the dash and traced every vacuum line into the engine compartment, and from there to the hubs. He then replaced the hub. NOT THE PROBLEM. First trip out after the "repair" and the hub, driver side, would not lock in. Had to get out in the mud to lock it in! Took the truck back for the second round this time they kept the truck for 4 more weeks. this time they replaced the driver side spindal. FIXED IT! Turns out the spindal was mis-manufactured. :slap: All was repaired under warranty no arguments. how ever the Tech who made the repair swore he would quit if the truck ever saw my truck:lol: again.

I think its a vacuum leak... when you switch to 4wd drive do you get air coming from your vents? also their is no after market company making hubs for the 05+ SD yet... and from the major manufacturers none of them work like the auto hubs.. you will have to get out and engage them every time you need 4wd
