    IDM mod and boost

Well since my chip was taken out because it crapped out, I have been running stock programming. I cant believe what a difference the IDM mod made compared to stock. I never ran the truck without a chip since I did the mod a while back but before the IDM mod I never saw more than 17PSI without my chip. I ran it hard up a good grade today and hit 22PSI WOT at 3000RPM. And this was at 8000ft. I never thought the results would be that good for stock programming.

    IDM mod

How difficult/ labor intensive is this mod? Do you need any other mods to support it, and what difference does this make? When you saw an increase in psi are you talking about turbo boost? thanks

I did the mod myself and do it for those who dont want to. The mod takes a steady hand and the right resistor to solder in. It increases the output voltage to the injectors to 140. This allows them to react faster and more efficiently with no other mods needed. And yes I was refering to boost pressure. I did the mod to my 96 but have not done the EX yet.

    price and availability

I am sure that you have done 99-03 7.3's right ? does this help a notoiceable amount on these motors as well as the older ones? does the increase hurt the life of the injector ? will it matter if my injectors are old, and will this have to be done again if i change injectors? I remember seeing that you have done this quite a few times on other members trucks and i would like to have you do mine as well. pm me the price and what city/town you are located in so we can do this sometime in the next few months or when you can if you are interested, thanks

I will get back to you this weekend. BUt it works with any injectors and helps them run more efficiently. To this day I have never heard of an IDM mod that was properly done failing or causing a failure of any related component. THis will work in any year 7.3 PSD from 1994.5-2003.
