Wondering if anyone knows why the 7.3L Diesel is not an option on Kelly Blue Book for a 1999 F250 XL Long Bed? I am trying to determine the value of a 1999 F250 XL Regular Cab Long Bed with a 7.3L Diesel. It's a work truck trim level. There is only an option for a 4.6L and 5.4L Gas. ???? Thanks in advance!

Was SO close to buying a project truck yesterday on Ebay. A perfect specimen to chop the frame on. Perhaps your interested in building a 7.3 version of Stroked Lightning? Check this out. Shipping would be about a grand though. A stripped work truck and a 1999 with forged rods. I just need to find one like this in California or close by. What would be good deal on a truck like this? Would have the motor built so miles are not that important.

ERROR FOUND. He wrote 8 cylinder 5.4 litre.
fuel type: Diesel (i don't trust him lol)

Yeah, he must have made the same mistake when he listed it that I did when searching for value on Kelly Blue Book. It is definately a 7.3 though. I've talked with him. It's a resale and not his personal truck. He just buys and sells cars/trucks. First thing I thought too though. I saw the pictures and new it was no 5.4L

Yeah, I was thinking about it. I need a daily driver and I thought maybe I could drive this truck for a while to keep the miles off my current truck. Then in a year or so, chop the frame on the regular cab and build a little street strip truck. Would prefer a 6.0 since I'm more familiar with them but a 7.3 would do especially considering the price for a 2003+ truck.
