    No start after washing?

I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before? I have pressure washed my truck (from a distance of course) in the past and found if I spray any water into the driver side wheelwell to clean shocks or anything in that area my truck will start for a few seconds then shut off. It will do this start and shut off cycle for 3-4 hours then suddenly it will start up and run just fine. This also happens to my fathers 99 350 in heavy rain but his shuts off and then starts right back up fine. Is there something I can do to avoid this in the future? Is there any safe way to clean the engine compartment with the truck running or is it better to just wipe it down and avoid water all together? thanks you guys.

Your IDM (injector drive module) is in the right front fender you need to pull down the inner fender panel down and remove the IDM. Clean the connection with some electric contact cleaner and then put a coat of dielectic grease on it and plug it back in and reinstall.

Also you might want to unplug your valve cover harness and spray it with WD40. If you got those wet, that could be your problem as well.

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
    1. Jesus Christ
    2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
