So my truck manufacture date is 9/98. says mfd in usa but the sticker has a canadian seal on it lol. so what are the big differences between the early 99 and the late 99 models? and do i still have the forged rods in there? anything else you motorheads can think of that may be different thats worth knowing?
O and i thought the front axles for the 4wd were dana 60's factory...mine has a dana 50. not that it matters. it is still beefy. and has lasted since 98.

The early 99's have a smaller turbo which gives great spoolup for in town driving , smaller intake plenums , y-pipe , pedistal and up-pipes. and yes you have forged rods.

Thanks for the reply gene. would explain why i would leave on powerstroke mike when at vegas racing.i would spool up faster but my truck would fall on its face cause the injectors and the smaller turbo lol.....

LOL.. ya right sandshark... you forget i have a bigger turbo that takes a few sec to spool up.. thats why you can get the jump on me.. but remember when i hit second gear its bye bye..LOL JUSK KIDDING BUDDY..
