Funny you should ask. I am wondering the samething, I have looked at both the EASE and the AutoTap. Both a little over $300.00 I am still looking into them and have not reached a conclusion yet. But my truck set off the SES lite yesterday for no reason. Just after a start up leaving Home Depot(not hot roddin). But would love to use someones scanner/programmer.(will drive anywhere in LA/Orange County(or Fillmore Gene LOL)). I removed my chip and just turn on the key all lites come on, then after about 5-7 seconds the ses lite comes on whether the engine is running or not? hope it's not a bad PCM. Truck runs fine

Where is canyon country? Isn't that near lake elsinore or am I thinking something else? Let me know because I work in Corona. If that is where I am thinking of it would be easy to meet up one day if you are in the area on mon - fri from 7:30 4:00. If not I am in Brea which isn't that far. I finally bought the cheap one from Actron but it works great even pulled a manufactors code.

Hey Jim, Thanks for the reply. I live about 25-30 miles North of LA. Out by Magic Mountian, kinda a drive from Corona. About 1 1/2-2hrs. How much was your scanner? And did you get you truck fixed? Did you get the Global OBD II AutoScanner - CP9135 ?

Ok I looked it up on the map I was thinking Canyon Lake that is what is close to me. yes I bought that one and it works great. I was thinking about taking it back and ordering the 9145 but I have heard that one does not do the manufactor specific codes as this one does. I got it at pep boys for $129
