Long story short im gonna do a coolent change. I bought a "real" temp gauge. Plus I need to replace the coolent and thought I would go to the prestone heavy duty but I cannot find it anywhere. Any suggestions ?

When I change coolant, I just go to an International dealer and get their coolant. Their Fleetguard coolant is precharged with SCA and it lasts a long time. My coolant has been in my 96 for almost 3 years and still tests perfect. I am going to change it before summer comes.

So on my way back from hose-man I stopped by the International dealer to check on the coolent they wanted like $15.00 per bottle. Plus the guy behind the counter didnt give me the feeling he knew what I was talking about( he kept asking "what color is the coolent now" I said well I switched to the cat elc about 1 year ago"). Then I stopped by autozone and they had zerex for diesels. I figured that I would come home, get on the computer and get a second opinion.

My bad.. It is Fleetrite, not Fleetguard. I use the Fleetrite Fully Formulated Coolant that is 100% precharged with the correct amount of SCA's and will say so on the bottle. They have a Fleetrite Premium that does not have SCA's precharged in it. I am sorry for the confusion I might have caused.
