    Hub Dammage?

Recently I had to use 4 wheel drive to get up snowy incline. After I did what I had to do, I unlocked my stock manual hubs, got back in the truck and drove off. I went about 5 miles, and I realized I forgot to disengage the transfer case. I found a level snowy spot and tried everything out, and everything seemed fine. My concern is if I damaged anything in the hubs by doing this.
Second of all, if I need to replace the hubs in the future what would one suggest as a good replacement? This vehicle is a 95 Ford F-350 dually.
    All comments & suggestions appreciated...

    Re: Hub Dammage?

Once the hubs are disengaged, the front axles are just seperated from the wheels at that point. The ring and pinion, axles, and front driveshaft spin with no load to speak of other than their own mass. Nothing bad, but you get less mpg without the transfer case disconnetion of these components. I can feel a slight out of balance front driveshaft on mine when I get going fast enough. Auto hubs won't disengage until you come to a complete stop and I feel this happen sometimes.

I would buy warn products myself, but my auto hubs still work, so that's what I run.
