    help please!!!!!!!!

while going to my job yesterday I noticed my fuel gauge kinda low and was gonna wait to switch it over but then I figured I was gonna fill up after I got out of teaching. On my way home (on the freeway) she died. I pulled over and tried to restart no luck. so I pulled the codes and it said cam pos sensor so I changed it still no luck. I drained the fuel bowl cranked it a few times no luck. opened the fuel bowl and it was half full. Any suggestions ? Tia Karl

If you open the fuel drain and empty the bowl and then turn on the key does fuel run out on the ground??

I did what you said and the short answer is no. so I closed the drain and tried to start her and no go so then I took off the fuel filter lid and it was empty. I'm guessing but I may have sucked some crud into the pump when I ran it dry. now I need a new pump ?

while checking the fuel bowl I noticed the filter was a bit dirty so I was thinking about filling the empty fuel bowl with seafoam and putting a new fuel filter and seeing if she will fire up . what do you think ?

The pump is located in the frame rail under the drivers seat , turn on the key and fell the pump and see if it runs?? With the top cover off and you turn on the key the bowl should fill.

The 94-97 trucks have a mechanical fuel pump in the bottom of the valley of the engine. Will, the fuel bowl is the big round can in the middle of the engine on top, can't miss it. This holds the fuel filter and acts as the water separator (there is a drain valve on the side of it). On the right side of the fuel bowl attached to it is the fuel pressure regulator which has the little screen that you've probably heard about.

I thought that was it when i looked... But i tried to screw the top off and i did not know if you could so i stopped for fear of breaking something. Would say that cleaning it is good maintenance?

Can i clean the filter and screen myself? What should i use?

Just go in with a q-tip and wipe off the surface. Keep going back until they don't come out black anymore!

Was the problem running out of fuel? If that was it, you can fill the bowl with diesel and try to fire it. That will give enough time for the electric pump to feed the mechanical pump in the valley. When you said all the fuses were good, did you check both fuse boxes? Sometimes the one in cab gets overlooked. If that does not work, give me a call.

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
    1. Jesus Christ
    2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
