    7.3 L PYRO TEMP

Does anyone know what the max temp on a pyro gauge should be , I just installed a autometer gauge set up on my truck, trans, pyro and boost gauges towing my 5th wheel to havasu a week ago the max the pyro went up to was 1100 degs. is this to much or within the limits of the motor. Normally running is about 600 on freeway(not towing), towing ranged from 800 to 1000,1100 peak going up cajon pass.. thanks any info would be helpful???

1050* is considered safe, peaking 1250* OK for short periods, sustained 1250* or more, bad.

Right, when measured pre-turbo.... Post turbo is less.

I know a guy on TDS that has a post turbo pyro and he tows at 1300. He has 175,000 miles on his truck and no problems. For the last 25,00 miles, he has been running stage 1 injectors. Madddog's I think. I have my pyro post mounted, and I dont like to get over 1000, although I have for a short period a few times.

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
    1. Jesus Christ
    2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

My '95 duallie was mounted post turbo, and I went to 1150 towing, and it had 265,000mi. when I sold it! Now, my '02 is pre-turbo, and I go to 1350, towing my 5er. Hope this helps!
