Transmission Service Deal For SoCAPS Members

    Hey Everyone,

We've put together a great deal on routine transmission service for SoCaps members in the San Diego area.

$89.95 Standard Transmission Service for E40D/4R100 (most shops charge between $130 and $250 for this service)
Includes: Fluid, Filter and Gasket (if needed)
(does not include Mercon V, or aftermarket synthetics)

$89.95 Differential Service for non-limited slip (at least $110
    elsewhere)

$125.00 Differential Service for limited slip

$45 Transfer Case Service (Blue fluid, not Magnesium)

We will definitely take a look around for you and identify any issues that may pop up down the road, transmission related or not. We can also readjust these prices depending on special fluids you want, or you bring in your own.

We're conveniently located right off of Miramar Road and 805 in San Diego.

Make sure you reference SOCAPS for this deal when you call or bring in your truck. We also work on other vehicles if you've got them and they need work, bring them on down.

    Thumbs up Service Review

OK - I guess I was the guinea pig for SOCAPS. I dropped my truck off at Transmission Pro's on Friday Morning for a LUK clutch install. I supplied the clutch package, purchased here: http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?...rodID=123&HS=1 I also purchased the updated shift fork along with it, and dropped off 7 quarts of Royal Purple for the transmission and transfer case. While the truck was there, they also replaced my leaky steering box, and replaced fluids in the front and rear differentials. Quite a bit of work. Got a call Friday afternoon - apparently they needed a gasket that was not available at any dealer in San Diego, so I had to wait until Monday - OK, understandable - no Biggie. Got a call on Monday - Bad news - the idiot supplier had sent the wrong gasket so I had to wait another day I'd have really been pissed missing three days work if it wasnt that I had nothing to do there anyways (in between projects), but still - I figured on loosing one days pay and ended up loosing three. But I really can't blame Trans-Pros for that - they did all they could.
Picked up the truck yesterday afternoon after they got it back from having an alignment done (because of the steering box replacement). All I can say is WOW! Three years ago when the clutch master cylinder failed it simply went to the floor with no effort at all - the LUK feels the same way - only it works fantastic! :D Took me the drive home, and the trip to work today to get used to the new clutch and tight steering. Stop and go traffic is going to be a dream with this clutch. So in addition to the clutch and steering box replacement, they replaced the rear main seal because there was a tiny seep starting, and re-sealed anything and everything that showed leakage underneath. I simple greened and acid washed my driveway while the truck was gone, and sure enough - no more drips! Other than the supplier fiasco, I had a very positive experience with these guys and I'd fully recommend them - they did great work, they fixed questionable or leaky seals as they found them and only charged me for the parts (since it was apart anyway) - and I paid less than half of what the dealer would have charged me for all the work (and I have much higher quality parts). They even promised me a free future transmission service for the hassle of missing work - should have gotten that in writing come to think of it... Peter?

    Angry Referral

The guys did a great job at Transmissions Pros. I just had my fr & rr diffs changed, transmission, transfer case and power steering done here. The guys pulled both pumpkin covers off and steam cleaned (?) them as well as the transmission cover. New filter in trans and the interior of the pumpkins cleaned out. New Valvoline synthetics in all areas. The guys were courteous and real pros. They allowed me to collect oil samples from all drive systems.

To do this in my driveway would have taken me five weekends!!
    Thanks for the great service!!

PS I wish the news on my rear diff oil sample was better but that is another story.

    Still in affect?

Is this deal still going cause i need to get my transmission drained because i just put a new torque converter in my truck because the old one was near to exploding and was making all kinds of noise. When the guy took it out he said there were metal pieces in there form it so i figure should get it drained again to eb safe. Also I need my transfer case to be drained. And maybe get my differentials drained since i haven't done that yet since i bought the truck. Truck was bought used so i want everything kinda checked and given new fluids.

Transmission Pros are great. I had a question and wanted a price to compair to and these guys are by far the best price. Not headed to San Deigo any time soon so looks like firestone gets the business.
