Head Stud Cost

I did a search and can't seem to find what studs should cost. I want to get a tuner ( sct ), injectors, NOS, Trans and a locker. I am setting up a budget and will do things in stages. No one has listed the cost to have studs put in place. Other items can be done at home fairly easily. Also, is there a good and bad of taking off in 4X4?

the studs cost me about $500. They did the install while replacing the gaskets under warranty. I don't know what the labor cost would be

I just had my gaskets done last month and I got my ARP studs from Innovative Diesel $500.00 and they got them to me the next day for the 2nd day ship price.

What I am really looking for is a place and estimate for labor. If the studs cost $$$$$ what should the labor be?

well who is installing the head studs under warrenty lately, i can buy studs from john woods but need a dealer that is willing to work with us this is my second set of head gasket blown and the last set were the new style gaskets

I would like to find someone in So Cal ( Thousand Oaks ) that could put them in before I blow the gaskets. Any suggestions?

We do head gaskets and egr coolers on 6.0 all the time.We use stock or after market studs.The job cost about $2300.00 with stock bolts or $2875.00 with arp head studs.Give us a call or stop by and see the shop.It is full of Fords.That is what we specialize in,it is just like a mini dealer ship.All my techs worked for Ford motor company at one time.Over 25yrs of Ford service.We have to cabs off right now,one for head gaskets and one for a engine.Thanks Loren 951-634-4859

Hi Loren,

I too am interested in Head Studs (ARP), but have to save up a bit, Will it take more than 24 hours? Its there a motel nearby. When I'm ready I would be coming in from the Lancaster area. Definitely want the cab off treatment.
