Unhappy F350 Warrantee Denied Dirt Intake

I have a 2002 f350 with 75000 miles on it with a warrantee good until 100,000 miles. I took it in for service because of oil consumption. they call me back and said i need a new engine and that it is not covered under warrantee because it is a dirt issue. i have alway had the stock intake and box and filter on it. never any aftermarket ones. And they say i need a new engine, $11000. Is there anyway i can fight this or at least get some kind of reduction in the cost. It has been in for this problem before, but they said it was not using enough oil. any suggestions from anybody would be very helpful thank you.

Maybe you should call a lawyer. I'll bet you'll save more on the repairs then you spend on the lawyer. I have pre paid legal and those guys have been real productive for me over the past few years.

How did the dirt get in? Through the filter box? Ripped IC boots? The stock airbox is notorious for not sealing properly and has been the source of many dusted engines.

Also, has the filter element been changed at the specified intervals?
