Project Truck - Build or Show?

I got word today that we have been invited to show the Little Red Truck at the L.A. Auto Show in January. The problem is I can't get the motor built in time to make the show. It would be in pieces when the L.A. show is going on. So the choices are (1)build the motor and forget the show, or (2)go to the show and build the motor afterwards. What do you all think we should do?

Go to the show and do the motor afterwards. Or get a core motor and build it up and swap out the motor when it is complete. Or, build up the motor in the Silver truck and swap them when it is ready.
