    Death wobble and brakes????

Ok My truck has developed the death wobble. It just started, I am going to go in and i want to double check my spindle nuts and am going to inspect tierod ends and balljoints. as i didnt replace them when i did the swap. I was told a good steering stabilizer will do alot so what is a good dual setup? And any other ideas?

Now for my brakes. My front brakes dont seem to be workign too well. The only parts i havent replaced is the calipers. It has new rotors pad lines ETC. When i get on the brakes the back lock up before the front.ANd i can feel the ABS kickin in. The axle is out of a 92. Could it be air? Or should i try new calipers? I was also thinking the brake valving may be off now because of the D60 brakes.
Well all help is appreciated thanks

well im not really sure about the brakes ,but for a steering stabilizer go with a dual setup for 81-86 chevy ,gmc ,they work great and look way better than the horizontal one for our trucks. (just my 2 cents)

Im gonna have my tires realigned, my tires are really cupped so they may be the cause. But i tightened a spindle nut and it hasnt happened since. But the wheel just seems too loose. So im trying to find a nice single steering stabilizer kit.

yeah if there cuppin thats defintely it, theres loading the sidewalls then when you hit a bump it unloads them then get the wobble. i got my stabilizer kit from suspensionconnection.com and it works well. but im gonna build a setup with my other pair of bilstiens eventually.

Unfortunately, I'm not that up to speed on a good stabilizer for your year truck. I know my Donahoe dual kit has worked well so far.

But, in regards to the loose steering, can you adjust the play in your steering box/gear? After doing a fair amount of off-roading with my truck, the steering had gone completely to hell - even with the stabilizers on there. I could turn the wheel 10-15 degrees either way before the truck would actually respond.

I outlined the procedure I used to solve my issues in this thread: http://www.socaps.comshowthread.php?t=3763

    I hope this helps!

probably a bit yeah... But i drove the hell out of it before my new wheels and it only did it with my new wheels. Which are wider and might let the cupped part of the tire hit the pavement. Maybe thats why.

I got a dual setup that is for a 99-04 superduty from fabtech. It works good has some close tolerances but it fits and works good. It uses two mounts one on each front u-bolt and a mount on the centerlink. WIllg et pics up soon.
