    Thumbs up

    Matt...

Cool Pics! That looked like you had a lot of fun!!:jump:

It's always fun when everyone comes home in one piece!;)

I will be ready to ride again in March........2008:shocked:

I just got off the phone with the surgeon......They set my ACL reconstruction surgery date for March 7th. I will be on crutches again for 1 month and a complete heal time of 1 1/2 to 2 years. I hate being on the disabled list!!

    Words of advise:

I can't stress enough how important it is to wear proper riding apparel (Which I was). It can make the difference of life or death. I would recommend some sort of chest and spine protector, I chose one from EVS, with built in shoulder, elbow and forearm protection. They protect all your vital organs and spine from most injuries. My riding apparel consist of: Helmet, Boots, Chest Protector, knee and shin guards, Riding Pants, Jersey, Gloves, and Goggles. I would also recommend the if you have small children who ride, you have them wear a Neck Roll, to prevent neck injuries. I know it may sound like a lot of gear to wear and a lot of money to spend, but the $1500.00 you spend for quality gear Is a small price to pay if it can save your life.;)

Ride Smart and Have Fun!!! :waytogo:

Yeah brother true true, I wear all the gear I can, One of the reasons I like the boots I got, they go up real high and cover right up to my knees. I hate wearing all that stuff but you get use to it, I always see alot of guys not wearing anything but tennis shoes, jeans and a T shirt. No boots, chest protector of nothing. Crazy guys. I've crashed without gear before, and I've crashed with gear, and I will never not wear gear again.

Yes he can get a temporary Handicapped placecard. His doctors have to request it so the DMV will give him one.

I hate to say I'd never use it.....:p I'm the guy that takes up 4 spots in the parking lot....The one you wish you could catch getting in his car while leaving the Supermarket, to yell at!!:D I park way,way out at the end of the parking lot, just to prevent some idiot from parking next to me! I can't stand people who don't take pride in what they drive. The ones who don't care if they get a door ding, or a scratch! I will still continue to park way out there even if I'm on crutches.....I'm that anal about it!!:smirk:

Jason, I agree 100% about the gear. Once you join the OTB club you learn you can't ride without it. The news about your knee is sad. At least it isn't a permanent disablilty. Had a friend who had a knee problem when he got out of his Jeep!
