I've been running WVO for over a year now, I built my own kit. If your ever down in Orange County, your more than welcome to check it out. BTW save your money, greasecar and plantdrive's kit are way over priced!!

Hey JOJON you said you built your own conversion. Can you give info on how you did this? I was just a greasecar to check it out and it is expensive. Are you running the filtered WVO or are you conveting it to biodiesel?

    Much appreciated.

Bumping this one back to the top - I'd like a little more information myself - particularly the details of how the system is plumbed.

excellent diagram there - I've been quizzing various fast food joints to try and find a source of oil before I undertake the conversion, and so far have been coming up empty - most places I ask are being paid for their waste oil, and dont want to hassle with someone else taking it. Somebody down here seems to have cornered the market - bummer.

im getting ready to do mine, i got the excursion tank here, just waiting for my heated fuel pickup and heat exchanger. ive got a full custom fuel system on my 97 already. im gonna run both fuels through the same filter which is a dahl 150 with the 10mic filter in it. the factory fuel bowl isnt gone on my rig. im gonna run the veggie out of the back tank since theres gonna be a 45 gallon tank in the back.

im gettin about 50gallons of waste a week from a couple places here.

I don't think that anyone has completely cornered the entire San Diego market. I stay away from fast food chains all together. Usually their grease isn't that good and some kid on the afternoon shift doesn't have the authority to tell you you can have it. I would start looking more towards privatley owned Asian restaurants. And you way wanna go around back and check the grease trap before you bother asking them about it. You may not even wamt what they have. I've only found one or two places that had good grease that weren't into letting me have it. I have of 40,000 miles on my truck on recycled oil. Go for it.

you need to do nothing to run "bio diesel". Bio is veggie oil that has gone throught a process called trasesterification. that process splits the oils esters and fats. The esters is what makes up bio diesel.

Now if you want to run pure veggie oil, you will need a tank with dedicated heaters for the fuel. Look at osme of the kits listed above.

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
    1. Jesus Christ
    2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

I have the vegistroke, and as most vegistroke owners will say, its the best thing on the market. Its expensive, but I think worth the money. They have a great product, pretty much idiot proof, and great customer service. They are always willing to troubleshoot and help.

They also have a less expensive version which is all manual, instead of their automatic version. Its pretty easy to install as well.
