Power Service and Marvel Mystery Oil

Anyone try adding Power Service and Marvel Mystery Oil to your fuel?

My dad found THIS LINK (I know, it's for Rams, but a few people there have tried it in their Power Strokes as well) .

    Found it quite interesting....

Re: Power Service and Marvel Mystery Oil

Anyone have any chemical info on Marvels Mystery Oil? Sounds like it does the same thing as Acetone. Acetone is a surfactant which means it breaks the surface tension in oils (like soap does to water). Anyhow with now surface tension the fuel atomizes better thus creating more efficient combustion. I wonder if MMO might have the same affect? If it does it might not be as controversial as using Acetone. I myself have found wonderful power and mileage gains from Acetone. The only downside seems to be that it may shorten the life of plastic components in your fuel system. However at a rate of 2oz acetone to 10 gallons of fuel, I can't see that it would shorten the plastics life by that much.

Re: Power Service and Marvel Mystery Oil

I have ran MM and PS, but not at the same time. For an additive, I like Standadyn better. It is far more potent than PS, but I am not 100% sure about the MM and PS mixture. I will try it out though and post results in the near future, but I will say that I have seen MPG increases, however slight with MM and Standadyn in seperate cases. The main thing about the additives is the cetane increase which Standadyn does better than PS. When I fill up my Stroker next, I will add MM and Standadyn and see if it works like they say PS and MM works. Then I will do the MM and PS and compare. That just means I need to drive my truck down to work for a week with one set of additives then drive it the next week with the other pair.

I have also used both, but I keep going back to Lucas Fuel Treatment which raises to cetane count, claims to increase fuel mileage, and lubricates all of the fuel system components, anyways I have had good results using it.
