We just took delivery of a new baby, a brand new 2005 Ford Escape V6 Limited. Our salesman at South Bay Ford, Jeff Lymann took very good care of it in the delivery process and right after the test drive he had it all prepped for us and fed it with a full tank of premium. He's the same guy who delivered our 1&1/2 year old, my '04 PSD. The Escape is the Red-Fire with the black leather interior, with none of the gay, rubbermaid plastic garbage-can lower panels, it's all red. Nice car. Plenty of room and pep, perfect kid chaser! Now we don't have to fight for the keys for my truck!

I just got one of those at work to fix, held up in a very hard rear hit. It crumpled everywhere it was supposed to, keeping the passengers safe, as safe as can be in a hit like that anyway. That should make you feel good, about any vehicle you buy, to know how it holds up in a heavy collision.

Thanks for the info on the crashed Eskapay. Too bad for the crashed one, but comforting to know that it did well in the crash, as my wife and two kids will be riding in it most of the time.
