Azusa Canyon pics (05-24-05)

Although the canyon isn't open yet, I took some pics from the hillside.

it's a lot different than it was before!
The water level is dropping fast (good mud at the end)

First ones in look out for debris, lots of logs, etc. etc.

Drop offs will be extreme untill flattened out by numerious 4x4's.

Does it remained closed until a certain date, or has it been closed due to rains and runoff later this season?

not sure. Supposed to be open in June. Just a few weeks more, I'd guess.

Overall, I think it's covered by the BLM. That's who we talk to every couple years when they want to shut it down for the endangered tree frog, sucker fish or tadpole (can't remember the name)

Although the people that police it are the USF green shirts.
