    Inner-cooler went bad.

I recently started to hear a "hissing" sound coming from the grill area of my truck. I took it in and found out I had a 1" crack in my innercooler. Has anyone else had this problem?

Also: Under hard acceleration, when I let of the gas I can hear some type of noise coming from the area beneath my feet. It sound like exhaust back-pressure or something like that. Has anyone else experienced that?

When I took it to the dealer for repairs, they said the couldn't "duplicate the problem." They proceeded to replace my innercooler (to fix the hissing noise) and when I was driving away I heards and felt the problem again (under my feet). It's going back tomorrow and a road test with the tech will be done..Any suggestions?

I would assume that the noise you are hearing is a "turbo fart". Since these engines have no wastegate, the boost pressure built under hard acceleration has to go back through the turbo and out through the intake. It all depends on the right foot.

The only things that makes me wonder is that up to this weekend, I never heard anything like it. The truck has about 10,000 miles and never made that noise before.

I had over 20,000 miles on mine before I heard it for the first time. We were on the 70 in CO and topped out a steep hill at about 75 MPH when I let off.

When you back out of the throttle fast after having the boost up, that is the turbo fart though the airbox.
