    Sct tuner Xcalibrator

Well I got one, and must say the drive from the meeting was pretty exciting, Does smoke quite a bit on the initial romp, but clears up right away, I have to say even that's grown on me. ha ha They need a smokey smiley. The truck pulls awesome, just cruising on the freeway passes with ease, even when it doesn't downshift. It's great, before it wouldn't even break the tires loose with the stock size, I don't want to make a habit of thise but I had to see, so I went on a little secluded street by my house and came to a full stop and power braked a little, gave it full throttle and I have to say, that pig of a truck took off pretty dang impressively, spinning those 35's leaving a nice little rubber tattoo. Anyway A great product, I'm happy with the adjustability of the product through Johnd Wood,(truely a great assett to this organization) and the power is safe and realiable, that's what I've been wanting.

Thanks John Wood for answering all my questions, and staying late to install it.

    Those things look pretty neat.
I like that they can be taylored to your code and not just with generic "power" programing.

    Looks like a winner!

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
    1. Jesus Christ
    2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

socal..you missed the meeting. John Wood had specially calibrated tuners that he says makes the trans shift right at max power on the six liter torqueshift trans. One was a raffle giveaway. The obstacle course was a bit rough too, you would have liked it I think.

btw, I think I broke my truck..the front end didn't look right

Well, I think it is possible I terminated my 8 year old ball joints... although it does not clunk.. so i was gonna ride it for a couple of hundred miles and maybe jack it up soon and see what's up with it. My crap injector combo was down 50 hp from last year too.. i got work to do.

    Re: Sct tuner Xcalibrator

No thanks... I've got a list of things to make it run right.. just don't know how far down the list I'll need to go before it runs satifactorily. I always suspected it was not right, but it is down 40-50 hp from the first time I dynoed at Sunrise.

BTW, I think the balljoints are OK... found what I believe is my mystery noise that only happens when it is wet outside. The front right leaf eye bushing is about shot. Yesterdays activities made it a lot easier to find. It's rubber and about a year old..not oem so it is not gonna be there for long.

Of course I might sell it if someone wanted it... It's a fun project mechanically, but I have to say that it's damn ugly to look at.

You should contact Eric at innovativediesel.com or 410 620-5418. He can tell you all you would want to know about them. I have one on my truck and let me tell you, the power is amazing! And the shifting is perfect! I wish I could have made it to the meeting and dynoed it, but I was too busy getting my car ready for Fontuckey in 2 weeks.

Zurniega, I'd bet the code is for overboost. Boost of something like 25 or 26 lbs will throw the code. You can get a boost pressure relief valve from Diesel Innovations for $35. Have fun, clear the codes. Good to meet you on Sunday.

    Re: Sct tuner Xcalibrator

I won the raffle SCT! I had to leave the meeting early so I handed my buddy, the matco dealer, my tickets. I get a call that afternoon and he ask me if I would be able to use a tuner for my truck. I just about flipped out, he said my ticket was the first one to be picked and he jumped on it right away. I have been saving for my down payment on a house, so for over a year I had to put all my toys on hold. I have wanted one for a long time but knew it would be a long time before I would be able to afford one. A big thanks go's to John Wood for raffling it off. I have been looking for an excuse to drive up to Johns shop, now I have one.
Since I missed Johns talk on Sunday, could you guys answer some questions for me. Will this hold a single file or multiple files? Will it plug up to my PCM or the OBD port? Any other features you guys have that you found that you like could you please fill me in.
    Thanks guys,
    Manny

Manny, it was good to see you Sunday. I believe it holds multiple files, and it plugs into the obd port. Give John a call for more info.
