    Fuel in Oil problem, widespread??

I ordered the TSBs for my truck when I ordered the service manual, and I ran across one that sounds pretty serious. #03-7-8 talks about injectors leaking fuel into the oil. It sounds like they could dump a lot of fuel into the oil if you have the problem. The way to check if you have the problem is to see if the oil dipstick registers over-filled. The engine oil dipstick is not designed very well. I like the old style, that is flat with the cross lines. With this one, it's hard to see your level in normal situations, much less over-filed.

Has anyone had this problem with their truck? If your truck was built pre April, 2003...they also replace the turbo if this problem is present. Also, I wonder if this problem would tend to present itself when the engine is new, or could it be just a likely to happen after 50K miles?

I had fuel in my oil for my first 3 oil changes, then it mysteriously went away. :?

I've been doing oil analysis for the last 40k miles and it hasn't come up since.

    Randy,

Sunrise Ford sells quite a few super duties and in the 7 1/2 months of selling and servicing them I think we have only had 2 or 3 in for the leaking injector, so don't be too worried.
