Installed gears, but.........

Had the 4:56 installed, drove it home and noticed that the "Tow/Haul" button doesn't seem to be engaging. When I press the button, the indicator lights up on the dash, but I don't notice any shift change (downshifting) when I'm doing about 70mph at around 2,500rpm's.....press the button, and NO change. Should I be worried? RPM's seem pretty high under normal driving, but I expected that, a little, with this gear change, but now why am I not noticing the "Tow/Haul" button working?????

dude I had thaqt replaced, lots of folks get shorts in them!
Mine doesnt say tow/haul...older truck i suppose

But it worked fine up until I had the gearing done.

and, it does show that its turning it on and off, the light comes on and off on the dash

im not sure if its connected if you know what i mean. coincidence maybe, call those poeple up and ask them if anything they did would cause that?

Just talked to them, he is going to make some phone calls tomorrow morning and get back to me. He said it might be that the Tow/Haul is related to the RPM range....but he is gonna talk to some people.

I dont think so but then again what do I know. Mine worked after they changed my gearing. Have you checked to see if there are any connectors to the rear that may be diconnected?just a thought
