04 Pyro Temp While In Tow

Ok, I'm gonna take my trailer out on Friday. 33' TT. What kind of pyro temps should I be expecting with my trucks current setup? Also, how about the boost gauge as well?

On the pyro, when should I let off the throttle and slow down?

1250? Sheesh, that's being conservative, I have seen 1350 to 1400 before I got out of it a little, but then I have a tendancy to not lift! It's the drag racer in me LOL!

Seriously, if you keep them below 1300 for a long pull and 1400 for a short time you will be fine.

I know a guy who refuses to put an EGT guage in his truck (as well as a tranny temp guage) because he says, "If I don't know what the temps are they're probably okay."

Try to keep it below 220 a larger aftermarket cooler would be helpful.

A deep sump tranny pan and a accumalator body aftermarket torque convertor will help with tranny temps 1600 egt's you better stop doing that I was running 1600 in the quarter and I ended up with cracks all around my valve seats heads where garbage nobody would even try to fix /weld up

SoCal - I haven't heard of any overheating problems with the torqueshift tranny. I wouldn't worry about it.
