Looking at a "left over PSD 2004 6 speed 4x4". Is buying a 6 speed a good deal? I drove it- a little balky when cold but a lot a fun when warm!
Any real world MPG stories? I had heard the autos get better mileage.

I read a post on TDS that the 6 speeds get better mileage in the city (makes sense)
on the highway, they're the same in terms of MPG (converter locked and basically the same top gear ratio)

I wanted the 6 speed, but the wifey insisted on the auto. (Wifeys have a way of being VERY persuasive!)The first time I got stuck in traffic I was glad she did.

I had 99.5 with a six speed in 69,000 miles i replace one complete clutch and two slave cyclinders. The truck got 14 to 16 mpg in Los Angeles traffic & 18 to 21 mpg on the highway. I would suggest to get the auto.
