    HPOP rear plate on a 2001 7.3

Working on my friends truck a couple weeks ago fixing an oil leak on the rear plug in the HPOP. We thought it was the o-ring under the rear cover plate and pulled the snap ring. I noticed the plug leaking before I even pulled the cover and just put the snap ring back in. My friend called me and said his truck was dumping oil. Looked at the cover and the snap ring came out and pushed the cover and plug inside the cover. Is this something I can push back in and re-install the snap ring, or do I need to do something else? Hope I dont owe someone a HPOP!

Joey at Terminator Engineering or Clay at Riffraff would be great resources to try. Clay will probably be easier to get ahold of. If you do owe someone a pump, you can purchase one of Terminators upgraded pumps for less than what a reman costs from the dealer.
