Hopefully someone with some management know-how will step up and purchase the property. It's a heck of an oval track and they've had so many great events over the years, I'm just so bummed about this one. . .

If people don't come out and put their butts in the seats it's going to fail no matter who's running it. I think the economy could have been a factor, not only for the spectators but for the racers as well. Thursday night street legals aren't enough to pay the bills by themselves, in fact I'd bet that program was pretty much subsidized by the oval track events.

Pretty crazy! With the amount of circle track drivers in the area, Sunrise Ford Motorsports included, I don't see this being a permanent closure ;-)

I have already talked with the people who run the Truckin 4 Kids event. They are waiting and hoping the track will still be available, if not they would like to take it to a 1/4 mile track. I will let you know when they make a decision.
