I looked but can't find anything on this. I put 2 new batteries in, and had the starter checked out today. All I get is a click. No starter engage. I push the clutch in and out, and I can hear the safety switch clicking. This happened to me twice now. I was getting ready to come home from an off roading trip, and it did this, but after a few tries, it started. What else can I check for before I send her to the shop? Sounds like a bad starter relay to me. The starter relay is located on the drivers side inner finder by the battery. If you need to start the truck in a pinch, put the key in the run position and you can use a screwdriver to jump between the two posts. The relay is super simple to change out and I'll bet that cures your issue.

EMT - 2002 F250 XLT CrewCab Short Bed 4x4 7.3L
Responded to the scene of 89 yo female with left femur fx, upon arrival pt. was found in bed with first responder.
I changed out the solenoid, and replaced the starter, and she is running great. Should be good in that department for a while.
