I have a friend with a 1997 Ford mustang. It wont pass smog because the check engine light is on. She had it checked and they said # 4 cylinder is not firing. I was gonna try to tackle it. Any suggestions??????? I think it was a p0304.(IIRC)

P0304 is missfire for number 4 cylinder. is it 3.8 or 4.6?
I believe its a 4.6
I was gonna check it with a noid light and go from there. Am I at least starting down the right path? That would rule out the wiring. If that checks out, I was gonna replace the injector and or clean all of the injectors with a canister treatment. What do you think? Thanks for the help.

4.6 most likely ignition problem. If your not too far from Chino I can power balance with IDS. It will save a lot of time to pinpoint the missfire with power balance.
