    Up tube replacement

I was doing my annual service on my truck the other day and noticed the up tubes going from the exhaust mainfolds to the turbo are leaking. Might explain my loss in boost pressure.

I did some research and found that this has been a problem from time to time and that International makes an upgraded tube setup for around $500.

    My questions are:
    1) Has anyone replaced them on their truck?
    2) How long did it take?
    3) Did you go stock Ford part or international upgraded part?

I am getting ready to do the same thing. And since so much has to come apart, I wanna upgrade my turbo and add the fueling upgrades as well. Definitely go the bellowed up pipe route. Stock will only leak again. Guzzle (Pocket) has a good write-up that I plan on following: Welcome to Pocket's International UP-Pipe Replacement Web Page

Good write up there. I figure on doing this in a couple weeks, I'll probably order the parts today or tomorrow morning. Then take a day off and get it done. I'll let you know how it goes.

I had mine done when the trans was rebuilt. Nice unit and it will quiet down the noise a little.

I'll be buying my parts later this week, I've gotta get my front end finished first then I can start on this little project.

I put the international bellowed uppies on my truck, but i did it while the trans was outta the way. not too bad, but have a torch handy those old bolts are hard to remove. soak them with something the night before you start. i think pb blaster works well. i had to heat a few of the bolts up, and torched a few off also...
