    bowl delete, fuel press reg?

What do i need to run a bowl delete kit without a reg. return installed? if i remove the filter bowl then there will be no way to reg. the fuel press to the heads right? it it possible to buy a f.p.r. and just install it on the fuel supply line from the pump to the bowl delete dist. block? i woul like to install my post pump remote filter kit, and bowl delete kit at the same time. any help appreciated. i am running the stock ford pump and an alligator performance 1/2" sump, with 1/2" hoses

You will need a regulator in there somewhere and there has to be some kind of return line from the regulator. Take a look over on PSN, there are more than a few regulated return setups on there that are home built. When I did my setup, it was not worth the time to go through and build my own kit. You can still dead head the system into the factory heads and put the regulator down by the pump, but I don't see any advantages to that. Any reason why you don't want to run a standard regulated return?

I already have the pre-pump remote filter kit and the post pump remote mount filter kit, i just wanted to install the fuel bowl delete kit and not have to spend 4-500 bucks more for a regulated return kit... i was hoping to put an external regulator and run it with a return line to the tank and be done with it...

You can run up to the heads and only feed the two ports that are fed from the factory, but it kind of defeats the purpose of the standard regulated return kits. One of the reasons they flow through the heads is to help keep the air out of the heads and injectors. It definitely makes it easier to start if you do run out for fuel for any reason. You can build your own system, but when I did my research, It wasn't a much cheaper to piece it together than it was to just buy the kit. You can put a regulator down on the frame rail and run the return to the tank from there, you just don't get the "flow-through" design of the kits.

Is the leaking bowl just the o-rings for the drain valve? If you need a temporary fix for that, just pull the drain valve off and turn the o-rings around. Not a permanent fix but will definitely buy you some time.

Wouldn't removing the bowl on a 99 and up Superduty be the same as removing the bowl on the OBS Powerstrokes? Remove the bowl, add a regulator, connect the regulator to the fuel lines on the front of the heads, connect the regulator to the return line to the tank?

Here is what I did on my OBS. Took me a while to piece it together but was well worth it. http://www.socaps.com/1994-1997-7-3l...7-f-350-a.html
