    2000 F250 serious issues

I have a serious fuel leak coming from the back of the driver side head/block. It appears that it is coming from a silver fitting on the back of the motor. I have been unable to find any real infomation regarding the issue. The truck also has a really rough idle which i believe is from the fuel leak? Also the truck had a nice puff of blue/blackish smoke upon start up. I have driven it and the rough idle almost sounds like a knocking but it clears up once the truck is warmed up. Any ideas or suggestions?

The truck has 156k on it. New motor at 120k. Just did the fuel filter and oil change last weekend. Issues were before the servicing.

    Thanks in advance guys.

I would do a fuel pressure test to see if your losing pressure, It may be an injector line or fuel rail? Low fuel pressure can damage your injectors.

I am still learning with the powerstroke. How would you perform a fuel pressure test? And I am sure i am losing pressure do the to stream of fuel leaking.

Anyway you can get a picture? Typically the fuel fittings on a factory motor are on the front of the drivers side head and the back of the passenger side head IIRC. There is a plug in the back corner of the drivers side head on the valley side. Any kind of picture and we could probably tell you for sure where its coming from. My guess is the fitting, or head where the fitting goes in is cracked.

I will take a picture of the area when I get home tonight or first thing in the morning. But it is leaking from the silver plug, or @ least that's where it appears the leak is coming from.

Unable to get a good picture this morning due to the time and the lighting even with a flash light wasn't great. I will post the pics as soon as i take them.
